'The Spindrifter' Reviews

By Lisa (Wimborne, Dorset)

I didn't know what to expect from this book but The Spindrifter is spell-binding. I couldn't put it down. It made me laugh, cry and everything in between. It starts with the heroine as a child and I could really feel her loneliness..I could just picture her listening to the radio alone. I can't read another book for a while. I didn't want it to end but wanted to know the end. You know there is not something quite right about Kit but not sure what.....waiting for it. My Mum and Dad read it; my Dad doesn't read books much but they took in on holiday and rushed back to the hotel each night to read a bit more, and went up early to finish it. It's a real page turner.

What other readers have said:

I'm lost now I've finished it. Other books just don't have the magic ingredient that makes you keep turning the pages to find out what happens next. I didn't want it to end but wanted to know the end.
I can't pick up another book because nothing will come close to it, I know it won't. There's so much in it.....a real page-turner.
It was so real to me I never wanted it to end....... just had to keep on reading.
It made me laugh, cry and everything in between. I couldn't put it down, absolutely loved it.
